Saudi Arabia - Saudi Arabian Recipes
Much of Saudi Arabian cuisine has been inherited from the nomadic Bedouin, who had cherished hospitality and generosity. Spices introduced by a constant influx of foreigners, surrounding Arabic neighbors, and rich Persian cuisine also played a role into the formation of what Saudi cuisine is today.
The national dish of Saudi Arabia is Al-Kabsa. Al-Kabsa is rich dish made of rice cooked with red or white meat or chicken in a pot. A variety of spices and salads can be added to the dish.
A popular way of preparing meat is called Al-Mandi. This utilizes ancient techniques of cooking, first employed when man discovered fire.
