Sudan - Sudanese Recipes
In addition to the influences of the indigenous African peoples, Sudanese cuisine was largely influenced by Arab traders and settlers during the Ottoman Empire, who brought fragrant and hot spices such as red pepper and garlic, as well as Levantine dishes, Egyptian, Yemeni, Indian and Ethiopian Cuisines in the easter part. The cuisine can vary greatly depending on region and ethnicity.
