Zimbabwe-Zimbabwean Recipes
As in many parts of Africa, a large quantity of Zimbabweans live off of a few staple foods. Meats such as beef and chicken are especially popular, though under Mugabe's rule, the levels have been falling. Peanuts and corn meal also play a large roll in the diets of Zimbabweans typically used to prepare paste-like dishes, porridge, or soups. Whole cows and goats are usually roasted or barbecued at large gatherings or for special occasions such as a wedding ceremony.
